Very well written! I've been roasting my own in a hot-air popcorn popper, and honestly? It's hard to go back to pre-roasted coffee after that. The single exception is the coffee I buy from a local roaster who ships within 24 hours of roasting.

Yes, I too noticed that the Ethiopia Sun Dried Sidamo is now widely available. The only problem is that the whole batch was roasted at once. So I'd assume that anything we can get our hands on now would not be at peak freshness. However, congratulations on finding a similar bean from PT Coffee!

I'm glad you liked the Sidamo! Yes, the cherry flavor is a definite surprise. Also, it seemed distinctively 'black cherry' even though I've personally only tried red cherries. I guess its just what I assumed a black cherry would taste like.

As for what other coffees to try at Starbucks, stay tuned. I'll be doing another coffee tasting as my next (or within the next few) posts.
